Goodwood, 14:00 - Back Principality @ 6/17.00

Course-and-distance winner Principality is a versatile contender, proven on varied ground conditions, and will enjoy a softer surface should the ground become testing on Sunday.

He had previously won a heavy ground handicap at the Goodwood Festival at odds of 18/119.00 when rated 3lb lower, and has been in good order so far this term with two successes, including when last seen.

A 2lb rise for his latest victory may not be enough to hamper his current impressive run of form, and he holds solid claims for an in-form Harry Eustace yard under Kaiya Fraser.

Beverley, 14:15 - Back Argentine Tango E/W @ 14/115.00

A Listed winner at Ayr in soft conditions in her penultimate start, Argentine Tango is proven at this level and has plenty of experience in Stakes races in her favour coming into this challenge. 

She wasn't at her best in a Goodwood Grade Two won by American Affair when last seen, but has shown enough ability previously, including in testing conditions, to suggest she could be capable of making her presence felt in this field.

The three-year-old filly won three races as a juvenile during her debut campaign last term, including at Listed level, and chased home the likes of Venetian Sun and Lady Iman in respective contests. She shaped with plenty of promise and has proven she has trained on this term, therefore could give a good account of herself for Tim Easterby.

Bet of the day: Goodwood, 15:10 - Back Coaxed @ 5/16.00

A first winner on the track for freshman stallion Baaeed, a brilliant racehorse, Coaxed was able to overcome a wide draw to make all on debut at Kempton, shaping with great promise with a successful start beating a field which included 800,000gns Wootton Bassett filly Miss Miniver, runner-up, as well as subsequent winner Thuritha.

That was a positive start and she's entitled to take a step forward for her racecourse introduction for John and Thady Gosden, with the scope for further improvement. This is a stiff test in only her second start, but she is a well-bred, good-looking filly and made a significant impression in her first outing.

Although her sire's only defeat was suffered in softer conditions on British Champions Day in his final start, he had previously won multiple times on good-to-soft. Her dam, Persuasive, won the Group One Queen Elizabeth II Stakes over a mile on soft ground, beating Ribchester by a length, and has already produced black-type achievers in Cajole, a 7f Listed winner on soft, and Theoryofeverything, who has won four of his five races in soft ground.

There's enough evidence to suggest the change to softer conditions at Goodwood may not hamper her and she could be worth keeping onside under William Buick in this Group Three contest.

Beverley, 15:20 - Back On The River E/W @ 5/16.00

Course-and-distance winner On The River makes appeal from a mark of 78 under 5lb claiming Tom Kiely-Marshall in this extended mile handicap.

The Harriet Bethell-trained contender is currently rated 2lb lower than his last winning mark, when winning a 16-runner handicap at Carlisle last summer defying odds of 14/115.00, and was only narrowly denied in third when a 33/134.00 chance at Newcastle in his latest outing.

Following a promising previous run, it could be worth keeping the experience seven-year-old onside, and he holds solid claims in familiar surroundings.

Cork, 15:30 - Back Princess Child E/W @ 11/112.00

Princess Child needs to bounce back from a disappointing effort when last seen, but should benefit from any rainfall and landed this prize twelve months ago. 

The defending champion is a proven mare with plenty of experience in her favour, and, should she improve on her latest effort, she should be capable of holding her own in this field.

The Joseph O'Brien-trained contender could put in a bold bid having finished half-a-length second to Celestial Orbit in a Group Three over a mile here earlier in the term in soft to heavy ground.

Dangerous to discount having won this race at Tipperary last year, the five-year-old mare could outrun her odds and make the frame under Joey Sheridan.

Cork, 15:30 - Back Greydreambeliever E/W @ SP

Four-year-old filly Greydreambeliever is another Joseph O'Brien-trained contender to consider in this Group Three contest. She hasn't been able to make the frame at Stakes level as of yet, but has gained plenty of valuable experience and has challenged in competitive handicaps earlier in the season.

A further step up is required, but the best could be yet to come from this daughter of Dark Angel, who could be capable of achieving some black-type.

Beverley, 15:55 - Back Ice Cold Alex E/W @ 33/134.00

Equipped with first-time cheekpieces, Ice Cold Alex could find a resurgence for Ollie Pears having struggled for form so far this term.

The three-year-old gelding was far from disgraced when fourth over course-and-distance in his second start of the season, however, outrunning odds of 25/126.00 to put in a creditable performance in a competitive 14-runner handicap won by Alfa Duplicate, but hasn't built on that run and needs to find improvement.

Back on the Turf with a run under his belt following a mid-season break, this could be the time to catch Ice Cold In Alex on a going day as he drops in class from a potentially lenient mark. Last season, he shaped with promise with a win at Pontefract followed by decent efforts in races won by Old Is Gold and Rogue Supremacy respectively, and it may be worth keeping the faith in him with headgear applied.

Goodwood, 16:20 - Back Moon Over Miami E/W @ 9/110.00

From a mark of 88, Moon Over Miami is one to note each-way for Ralph Beckett and Hector Crouch, still lightly-raced with the scope for further improvement and in calmer waters than when last seen in the Northumberland Plate.

Although he couldn't make an impression when sent off at odds of 12/113.00 at Newcastle, the son of Sea The Moon had previously won on reappearance at Newbury when rated 2lb higher than his current mark, beating Charging Thunder over an extended two miles.

The five-year-old gelding needs to show improvement on his latest run of form, but, dropping in class from a lower weight, he could give a much better account of himself and may be worth keeping onside.
