Five fantastic days of action come to a close at Royal Ascot on Saturday with another card chock-full of quality, and my first bet of the day comes in the what looks like a belting renewal of the Hardwicke Stakes.
Courtesy of her sex allowance, the five-year-old mare Kalpana just about sets the standard and she wasn't far off her best when in the Aston Park Stakes at Newbury on her reappearance, getting the better of West Wind Blows by only a neck with the pair pulling well clear of the rest.
A repeat of that will give her a solid chance of following up but I'm siding with Jan Brueghel, who wasn't anywhere near his best when a well-beaten second in the Coronation Cup last time, but that was an odd race on deteriorating ground at Epsom and these conditions should show him to much better effect.
As expected, Aidan O'Brien has had his team in fine form all week and I'm hopeful that the selection can add to his master trainer's burgeoning tally of Royal Ascot winners.

This 6f Group 1 contest has a real international feel to it and I was again tempted to put up Australian raider Overpass, who ran well enough in defeat earlier in the week over 5f and should be suited by stepping back up in trip, but he is closely matched with compatriot Joliestar on their domestic form and the pair are difficult to split.
However, I still think this can go to one of the overseas raiders and I'm keen on Japan's Satono Reve as he bids to go one place better than in this contest last year.
He's often knocked heads with Ka Ying Rising on his Hong Kong raids but there is nothing of that one's calibre in this race and he could well have an ideal draw in stall 18 given how things have panned out on the straight course this week (not withstanding any major changes to the bias on Friday, as I write this before that card gets underway).
Joao Moreira has often been in the saddle on Satono Reve, but he isn't at the meeting this year, so Ryan Moore now takes the mount having ridden the seven-year-old previously.
As an added bonus, Betfair is running a promo on Saturday featuring 'second chance tokens' - meaning if your selection finishes second, third or fourth, you'll be eligible for a free bet.
It's hard to see Satono Reve being out of the frame, so this looks the ideal chance to utilise that opportunity.

The unbeaten Saber Strike is a Group 1 winner-in-waiting in my opinion and I'm expecting this most exciting prospect to take the next step up the ladder with a win in the Group 3 Jersey Stakes.
The William Haggas-trained son of Night Of Thunder made a most impressive debut when winning at Redcar last autumn, making short work of 14 rivals and he was immediately thrust into listed company on his first start this term.
The most taking part of that Newmarket win was the turn of foot Saber Strike showed to come from the rear in race hardly run at a breakneck pace, his closing sectionals backing up what looked a performance out of the top drawer as he came home ahead of Godolphin's debut winner Cerro Blanco.
There should be plenty more to come from the selection and I've little doubt he'll be dining at the top table in his age group sooner rather than later.
Saber Strike looks the best bet on what is a fantastic closing-day card.

Mark Milligan's Royal Ascot Day 5 Double
Betfair is offering Bet £10 Get £10 on Multis, and the multi that makes the most appeal is double featuring Jan Brueghel in the Hardwicke Stakes and the progressive Saber Strike in the Jersey Stakes.
