Welcome to day four of Royal Ascot. Daryl Carter talks you through the market movers across Friday and Saturday and takes a closer look at the feature Coronation Stakes.
"His price has been hit more times than Ian Dury's rhythm stick and is now 10/3 from 8/1 on the Betfair Sportsbook, and quite frankly, that's not too short either."
Friday is here, and the quality action continues to come thick and fast from Royal Ascot, but if you're sick to death of that meeting and it's beaten you black and blue, here are your Friday options.
The Royal meeting has seen significant rain forcing a few non-runners and the going is now soft (19mm at 8:00 am) with the rain due to continue throughout the day, so let's look at how the market has reacted.
Money Talk - Ascot day four
Sweet baby Jesus, the Betfair Sportsbook, is like a strobe-lit rave with the amount of activity across the Royal Ascot card.
So far this week, we've seen just three favourites land, Palace Pier 2/7, Love 4/6 and Mohaafeth 11/8 - three very useful horses.
Punters have had their fair share, though, but the overnight money has been more significant than any other.
Punters backed Berkshire Shadow into 11/1 from 20/1, Indie Angel into 8/1 before the day drift saw an SP of 22/1. Real World was 40/1 into 22/1 overnight, and Perfect Power was 20/1 into 12/1 before a slight drift to 14/1.
Anyway, the point is not to ignore that overnight money and worry less about the drift during the day - a script flip from your normal day to day racing.
Today sees plenty backed overnight, and I have picked out some significant ones for you.
14:30 - Gypsy Lady - 80/1 into 25/1
17:00 - Prado - 33/1 into 16/1
17:00 - She Do - 40/1 into 18/1
17:35 - Sam Cook - 20/1 into 9/1
18:10 - Shalaa Asker - 100/1 into 22/1
18:10 - Dream Composer - 25/1 into 11/1
The market says no
Notable drifters today on the Betfair Sportsbook and possible reasoning.
14:30 Flotus 11/4 to 10/3 - Wide-open two-year-old contest with many unknowns and punters have felt the price was short enough.
15:05 Gear Up - 6/1 to 12/1 - Stamina, a question after Derby flop?
18:10 Significantly 11/2 to 9/1 - Free-going sort.
Race of the day
Royal Ascot is again the feature in the race of the day, and we take a look at the red hot 16:20 Group One Coronation Stakes.
Mother Earth won the English 1,000 Guineas in good style and only narrowly denied the French equivalent. The former wasn't the deepest renewal with some notable absentees, and today's race looks like her toughest test.
She has been behind Pretty Gorgeous twice, including in the Fillies' Mile last term, but both occasions were on soft ground.
She's a big player, but this is deep, although another step forward would see her in the mix.
Empress Josephine impressed when getting up to win the Irish 1,000 Guineas at the Curragh last time on just her fourth career start. She is now two for two on soft ground, and the rain today will be a welcome sign for connections.
She had Pretty Gorgeous in behind on that occasion and is now starting to look like the form horse in the race.
Unfortunately, Primo Bacio's late withdrawal takes a lot of the unknown quantity out of the race outside of her, so she shouldn't be underestimated.
She is drawn well and open to plenty of progress, and there are very few negatives with her chances today..
Snow Lantern was no match for Primo Bacio at York, but she is entitled to improve, and it's highly unlikely that race hasn't got to the bottom of her.
She needs to settle better but looks like a horse to keep on side given her beautiful stride and powerful travelling style. The fact that her dam won this in 2013 is irrelevant, but she could well turn out to be a top-class prospect and maybe each-way value in the race.

A Royal Saturday smash-up job!
Saturday looks a belter, and unlucky Kings Stand seventh Kings Lynn will turn out quickly to run in the Wokingham Handicap. Yes, a handicap! Off a handicap mark of 100!
He is officially seven pounds well in but on the evidence of midweek looks more like 12-14 pounds well-in to me.
His price has been hit more times than Ian Dury's rhythm stick and is now 10/3 from 8/1 on the Betfair Sportsbook, and quite frankly, that's not too short either.
It's one hell of a day, and the rain may scupper the chance of Starman 9/4 in the feature Diamond Jubilee and Dream Of Dreams 7/2 looks the obvious type to benefit.
Alfaadhel 4/1 looks like a potential group horse in the 17:35 Golden Gates Handicap and will probably be my last bet of Royal Ascot.
Deadly Dudman looking to strike again with his 28/1 daily double!
Al Dudman has been in superb form with his daily doubles and is well in profit for the season so far, so check out his big priced double today.
Calvin in search for cash on with five for Friday
Top tipster Tony Calvin has five selections for today's racing at Ascot, including one that's been punted off the boards from 80/1 into 22/1!
That's it from me this week. Hopefully, a few winners provided but more importantly, some valuable information on the day to day racing.
Royal Ascot will test the metal of any punter but remember, it's not the number of winners but the price quality.
On that note, be lucky, and I'll see you Monday.
