Messi odds-on to sign for Saudi club as Barca return dream fades

Lionel Messi's fairytale return to Barcelona will remain a mere dream and the player will instead sign for a Saudi Pro League club, according to the latest Betfair odds.

The World Cup winner is 17/201.85 to make the move to Saudi this summer and Al-Hilal are his most likely destination.

He is 11/82.38 to sign for Barca, the club he left in 2021, and would have been happy to rejoin.

However, Messi's prepresentative are said to have told Barca that they cannot wait any longer for a proposal from them.

PSG manager Christophe Galtier confirmed today that Messi will leave PSG at the end of the season.

Galtier said: "I had a privilege of coaching the best player in the history of football. It will be Leo's last match at the Parc des Princes against Clermont."
