Harry Maguire to Spurs in to 4/1 as Postecoglou eyes defender

Harry Maguire is 4/15.00 to sign for Tottenham and could become newly-appointed manager Ange Postecoglou's first signing.

The defender, who is in Gareth Southgate's squad for this month's Euro 2024 qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia, is no longer first choice at Manchester United.

Manager Erik ten Hag is open to selling him and Southgate has hinted to Maguire that he cannot continue playing for England if he is not featuring at club level.

Tottenham are yet to bid for Maguire but, according to reports, they have made inquiries about his availability and will step up their transfer business now that Postecoglou is in place.

Aston Villa 5/23.50 are the shortest price in the Betfair market on Maguire's future. Unlike Spurs, they can offer Maguire continental football next year in the European Conference League.

West Ham 6/17.00] may be another option if they decide to strengthen the centre of their defence this summer. Brighton and Newcastle are both 10/111.00 to be Maguire's destination.
