Tuesday Football Tips: Back Bees duo to sting Saints

Games are popping up all over the place in the Premier League after a rash of postponements, and this is one of them as Brentford make their delayed trip to Southampton.

There's only two points between them in the league and this should be a good contest as a result.

Brentford are getting a lot more plaudits but away from home they've won just twice this season - and that's in contrast to Southampton's home form that has seen them lose just once.

Saints don't win a lot at St Mary's though as they've drawn six out of nine - as with nine stalemates overall they're the draw specialists of the division.

It's hard to look beyond another draw here, but I like Brentford as outsiders here as they've put a nice couple of wins together after a tough spell and Southampton are just the type of side they play well against.

And after he returned from injury with an FA Cup hat-trick, we've got to include Bryan Mbeumo in a Bet Builder shots double we're backing involving the Bees' two front men.

Mbeumo and Ivan Toney work beautifully together, and they're easily Brentford's main men in all aspects - including in the volume of shots they have at goal.

They've both taken 26 efforts at goal, with Toney twice as effective with 12 on target to Mbeumo's six, and we're taking that ratio into the Bet Builder double.

We'll take Toney to have two shots on target - something he's managed in five games this season and against teams such as Tottenham, Newcastle and Palace who have a similar profile to Southampton.

Added to that Mbeuno to hit the target once and we'll get a nice little return.
