Preston's play-off hopes in the balance
Swansea's fine run of form has just come a bit too late you imagine as they take a five-game unbeaten run into a game with Preston.
Visiting North End may be in 10th but they're still just a point off the play-offs despite a dagger of a defeat against Millwall last time out.
Russell Martin's Swans have kept three straight clean sheets at home - where they've only lost one of the last 20 games against Preston.
Although Ryan Lowe's Preston have the fourth-best away record in the division, they've lost two of their last three and their only wins in the last seven have been against struggling QPR and Rotherham.
Their need looks greater, but that need could see them tighten up while a free-flowing Swansea will play with a lot more freedom.
Count cards & Preston's scoring struggles
Only three teams have scored less than Preston's 41, and having Ched Evans and Emil Riis Jakobsen out won't help.
So I wouldn't expect too many goals here - Preston are still good enough to give Swansea problems but without that finishing touch then under 2.5 goals in the game at 8/11 should be the way to go
But it's in the cards market that we should focus as these two just happen to be the top two in terms of cards this season in the Championship.
Swansea top the pile with 101 yellows and two reds this season while Preston have been handed 96 yellows and four reds during their campaign so far.
And with Preston under pressure they could well drag the game down into a battle, with Swansea never afraid to mix it with anyone this season.
