Saturday Football Tips: Shoot for profit with Everton

Across the opening two matchdays of the new Premier League season, Nottingham Forest have conceded more shots than any other side - and by some distance.

Newcastle managed 23 against them on the opening day, while last weekend West Ham hit 19 at the City Ground. A total of 42 shots against is eight more than the next-worst tally.

And that leads us nicely towards Saturday's props Bet Builder.

The potential for Everton shots is hopefully now clear and by siding with some of their more defensive players to have at least one shot, you can put together a decent-priced shots treble.

First up is James Tarkowski, who is the Toffees' clear target from set pieces at present given the enforced absence of Yerry Mina and Ben Godfrey.

He's managed three shots across the opening two games, meaning he's now had 1+ shot in six of his last eight Premier League matches, going back to his Burnley days of last season.

Wing-back Vitaliy Mykolenko has a similar track record. He might have drawn a blank at Aston Villa last weekend but prior to that the Ukrainian had got a shot off in six consecutive Everton games.

With Everton lacking a proper goalscorer due to Dominic Calvert-Lewin's injury, goal threat will be expected to come from other areas and the wing-back system favoured by Frank Lampard offers options from their wide men coming in.
