Europe's most-fouled player features in Wednesday's football props column which has a 4/1 Bet Builder for Real Madrid v Chelsea.

  • James v Vinicius should draw fouls

  • Benzema has 6 goals in last 3 games

  • Bet Builder double pays north of 4/1

Vinicius Junior is a player I've mentioned before in this column this season - and with good reason.

He's the most-fouled player in the 'Big 5' European leagues having drawn more than 100 fouls for Real in La Liga. At the weekend he was fouled no fewer than nine times by Villarreal and last midweek, perhaps more significantly, five times by Barcelona.

Unsurprisingly, the numbers drop off a bit in the Champions League but of the players remaining in the competition, no-one has been fouled more than the Brazilian.

His direct opponent in this game is set to be Reece James and 13/8 about the England international committing 2+ fouls therefore looks good.

Perhaps James isn't someone you associate with a high foul count but the fact is he's landed this bet in his last four Champions League games.

Given the man he's up against, a repeat looks on the cards.

Back red-hot Benzema

To complete our Bet Builder, I'm going to add form player Karim Benzema for a goal.

He's scored a hat-trick in two of his last three games, including in that Copa del Rey semi-final against Barcelona. The Frenchman also netted in both legs of the last-16 tie with Liverpool.

Benzema destroyed Europe's best defence last week and Chelsea fans will surely be worried about what he could do to their backline, one which has conceded twice against Aston Villa and goal-shy Everton in recent weeks.

The new, temporary Frank Lampard era began in dismal style on Saturday with a 1-0 defeat at Wolves, while it might also be worth remembering how Chelsea fared in Lampard's only previous Champions League knockout tie - it ended with a 7-1 aggregate defeat to Bayern Munich.

I can see Real winning this by at least a couple of goals and if that's the case then Benzema looks highly likely to be among the scorers.

The double pays just over 4/1.
