We spotted some value yesterday but, as has often been the case this season, only one of the two Bet Builder legs came in.

Hopefully someone backed the fouls single at odds-against!

Despite that setback, it's a similar approach to Thursday's Europa League coupon with West Ham's trip to Greece of particular interest.

Leg 1: Over 3.5 cards

What immediately caught my eye here was the appointment of Latvian referee Andris Treimanis.

He's a man who loves a card and 25 of his last 31 UEFA club appointments have seen at least four cards.

Over 3.5 cards is available at 7/101.70 here, mainly because of West Ham's good disciplinary record.

However, this will be the Hammers' toughest test of the group with the Olympiakos fans capable of creating a hostile atmosphere.

27,000 were in for their previous home Europa tie against Freiburg - expect close to the capacity of 32,000 for this one.

The atmosphere could spice things up on the pitch and, with Treimanis in charge, I'd expect his trend to continue.

Leg 2: Nayef Aguerd 1+ shot

The other bit of value I like here is Nayef Aguerd in the shots market.

The Moroccan World Cup star has managed at least one shot in five of his last six games and six of his last eight, proving the main target man in the air from set-pieces. He's 8/111.73 for a repeat.

The top-quality delivery of James Ward-Prowse has undoubtedly helped and while it's always hard to second-guess the team selections on a Thursday night in Europe, both men did start in Freiburg three weeks ago.

I'll put Aguerd in a two-legged Bet Builder with the cards selection to get odds north of 2/13.00.

Back in the shots market, Gustavo Scarpa will be worth following if he makes the hosts' starting XI - the Nottingham Forest loanee is fit again but was only on the bench at the weekend.

Scarpa's love of a shot was highlighted on these pages when he arrived at Forest last season and life in Greece has begun in familiar fashion with both starts at his new club seeing him land the 3+ shots bet, while he managed seven in one half of another game having come on as sub.

Finally, West Ham's Kostantinos Mavropanos may also be worth following.

He's started both Europa League games so far and managed 2+ shots in each.

The Greek defender is back on home turf here and will doubtless be eager to impress, although the market is wise to his ability from set-plays - he's around even money for 2+ shots here which looks a little skinny.
