Wednesday Football Tips: Back 13/2 shot for Nations League semi

• Modric leads Croatia in shots on target

• Gakpo has 1+ shot on target in six of last nine

The Nations League has largely been a success I'd say, and the fact both the Netherlands and Croatia will be taking this semi-final so seriously speaks volumes.

Ronald Koeman's side are sizeable home favourites, but many of the Croatia veterans that got them to the World Cup final in 2018 and semi-final in 2022 remain.

The Croatians won't be daunted even by a packed De Kuip, and they'd love a trophy to show for this golden generation - but the Oranje are also huting for a rare trophy.

This looks a really good game ahead and should have plenty of action for us to look at for tonight's Bet Builder.

Leg 1: Modric 1+ shot on target

Luke Modric still shows no sign of losing his touch, and he'll be Croatia's main man once again, looking to control that midfield and set the tempo for the visitors.

Modric also scored twice during the Nations League though, and led the team in shots on target with five - so 11/102.11 on Modric for 1+ shot on target certainly appeals.

Leg 2: Perisic 2+ fouls

Ivan Perisic gave away five fouls in his last two Nations League games - and was was booked in both - and he'll be in the thick of the action again.

The Spurs man is always playing right on the edge and the bigger the game the more chance he has of going just beyond it and giving fouls away.

He had multiple fouls in three World Cup games, and for Spurs he did the same in both games against Man City and Liverpool and once against West Ham showing that when the heat is on, Perisic can give us the fouls we need.

Leg 3: Gakpo 1+ shot on target

Cody Gakpo really grew into his role at Liverpool towards the end of the season, and with Memphis Depay injured for this game he'll have more on his shoulders in terms of providing a goal threat.

Gakpo had a shot on target in six of his last nine matches for Liverpool and also six of his last nine for his country, so he's not afraid to pull the trigger.

There'll be plenty of encouragement for the Dutch to get forward and a shot on target for Gakpo should be the least he delivers.
