Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka
Granit Xhaka: Carded in six of 12 games against Manchester United

"Gabriel Martinelli leads the shots charts and he’s hit 5-7-4 in his last three outings. With only six teams having conceded more shots so far than United, I’m happy to put Martinelli down for two more."

Our football props column has an 8/1 shot for Sunday's Premier League showdown between Manchester United and Arsenal - and don't forget out special offer on the game!

It might not have been the greatest week for the Betfair football props column but the P&L figure is still looking healthy - and there's always a chance to bounce back in style with a tasty-priced Bet Builder.

An 8/1 winner at any point in the week will ensure a profit in this column and we've got such odds in Sunday's pick which focuses on the Manchester United v Arsenal showdown.

We'll start in the shots market and, more precisely, with the hosts' Christian Eriksen.

His shots figures five games so far this season are 2-1-3-2-3, this despite being asked to play a fairly defensive role at times.

The signing of Casemiro should allow Eriksen greater licence to get forward and, after two substitute appearances in the past week, the Brazilian is being tipped to start in this one.

Eriksen is 4/5 for 2+ shots which looks decent.

For Arsenal, Gabriel Martinelli leads the shots charts and he's hit 5-7-4 in his last three outings.

With only six teams having conceded more shots so far than United, I'm happy to put Martinelli down for two more in this contest.

Finally, I'll add in an old friend of punters, Granit Xhaka, for a card.

You probably don't need me to explain his propensity to find a way into the referee's notebook (for the record, he was carded 11 times in 27 league games last season) but some relevant info you might not know is that he's been carded in six of his 12 appearances against United.

He's 9/5 for another card here.

The man in charge is Paul Tierney, who was an above-average carder last season, showing 3.81 yellows per game. He's almost bang on that figure so far in 2022/23.

Notably, he's booked Xhaka on three of the last five occasions their paths have crossed in this competition.

The three legs come together for an 8/1 shot - and don't forget that Betfair have a bet £5, get £5 offer for Bet Builders on this game.
