Relegation battlers to be smashed again
Galway United v Cobh Ramblers
Friday 08 July, 19:45
The She-Monkeys of Ponte Preta did their bit for us last night, but pesky CSA let us down in Brazil, as their 1-0 home defeat nixed our BTTS bet. Undeterred, we continue the search for profit in the Republic of Ireland, because struggling Cobh Ramblers face a tricky trip to Galway United in the second tier.
Galway are only four points behind the leaders Cork City, but they have hit a sticky patch of late. The Tribesmen have won just two of their last five in the league. However, that run includes three games against the other sides in the top four, and a recent 5-1 win over Bray Wanderers shows United can still punish the weaker teams.
Cobh Ramblers have lost seven of their last eight league games, and they have conceded 25 goals in the process. They were hammered 4-0 at home by tonight's opponents in May, and overall they have leaked 50 goals in just 20 outings. Only rock-bottom Athlone Town have a worse record.
Ten of Galway's 20 league games have seen an Over 2.5 Goals bet land, and five of those winners came in games against the current bottom three. Cobh Ramblers have seen an overs bet land in 12 of their 20 league outings.
We can use the Sportsbook's Bet Builder here to back a Galway win, Over 2.5 Goals and at least one goal in each half at 1.9420/21, and I think that's a fair way of boosting the price for the home win.
