Chelsea (W) v Celtic (W)

Nico Schlotterbeck did his bit with a couple of fouls last night, but Leroy Sane failed to hit the target in Germany's dramatic 1-1 draw in Hungary. Right idea, wrong outcome.
We'll spend Wednesday at Stamford Bridge, the home of Chelsea's women's team for the big games these days, as they prepare to face Celtic in the Champions League. The Blues won the reverse fixture 2-1 last week, and have now won all ten of their competitive matches under new coach Sonia Bompastor.
I interviewed Bompastor after Saturday's 2-0 win over title rivals Manchester City in the WSL at Stamford Bridge, and what struck me was the French's tactician's demanding nature. Ten out of ten is a flawless record, but there are elements of Chelsea's game that Bompastor wants to seriously improve.
Chelsea were able to make seven changes ahead of that win over City, and their squad depth is right up there with any club in Europe. Quality players like Ashley Lawrence, Wieke Kaptein and Catarina Macario are all expected to be drafted in, having been subs at the weekend, or in Kaptein's case, not used at all.
Chelsea have won all three of their UWCL games so far. They beat Real Madrid 3-2 at Stamford Bridge, won 3-1 at Dutch club Twente and then overcame Celtic. Five of their ten wins in all competitions have featured at least four goals.
Celtic gave a good account of themselves at Celtic Park against Chelsea, but this could be a long evening. They are coming off the back of a bruising derby defeat to Rangers, and they have only just squeezed through in the Scottish Cup on penalties after a goalless draw against Glasgow City. Celtic are only fifth in the SWPL, and this will be a big step up in class.
I'll use the Sportsbook's Bet Builder to back Over 3.5 Goals and Maika Hamano to score at a combined price of 2.1411/10. The Japanese international has looked really bright since joining the club, and has scored twice in the UWCL already.
If Hamano doesn't start, back Catarina Macario to score instead at a combined price of 1.981/1. Brazil-born American international Macario has great pedigree, having scored in a Champions League final for Lyon, and she should be able to make the most of the absence of striking rival Aggie Beever-Jones, who is suspended for this one.
