Friday Football Tips: Back a 9/2 feast of goals in Stuttgart

Seabastian Hoeness
Sebastian Hoeness' Stuttgart have scored plenty of goals this season

Paul Higham is expecting a Friday night goal fest in the Bundesliga as surprise packe Stuttgart look to go top as they face struggling Darmstadt.

Stuttgart stayed in the Bundesliga by the skin of their teeth last season, but they're making full use of that lifeline with a surprisingly brilliant start to the season.

They've won three out of four and are the top scorers in the German top flight as they face a struggling Darmstadt side who look primed to suffer an instant return after getting promoted last term.

They've collected just one point so far and have conceded more goals than anyone else - that's not form you want to take on a trip to Stuttgart, and it's why the hosts are 1/31.33.

This game smells liks goals, so we'll act accordingly.

Leg 1: Over 3.5 goals

Sebastian Hoeness' team are a great watch this season with goals raining in from all angles - 20 in fact in just four matches.

Amazingly, they won their first two home games 5-0, either side of taking a 5-1 spanking themselves at RB Leipzig, while adding in a 3-1 win at Mainz for good measure.

Darmstadt have conceded 13 this season, 12 of those in the last three games so while runs like this don't go on forever, we've got to back goals.

Stuttgart haven't conceded at home yet but Darmstadt's 3-3 against Monchengladbach did show they can offer some threat, so they could even help us in on quest for goals.

With the runs these two are on it's tempting to go even higher, but we'll take the 31/20 on over 3.5 goals anyday.

Leg 2: Serhou Guirassy to score

Again, all good runs must come to an end, but I don't think (hope) Serhou Guirassy's scoring spree will end here with a home title against the division's worst defence.

His numbers are amazing. Nine goals in five games in all competitions, scoring in every game and multiple goals in three - including a hat-trick against Mainz last time out.

Guirassy's been wonderfully clinical - scoring his eight Bundesliga goals from 16 shots. Every time he's hit the target in the league it's gone in, and from only half-chances at times as he's bagged those eight from an xG of just 3.1.

It means that while his run of multiple goals may not be sustainable, against this defence we have to back him to score at 4/51.80.

Leg 3: Chris Fuhrich goal or assist

We could leave it there with a doubl of around 2/13.00, but it's a Friday night so we'll try and put a bit more meat on the bones by suggesting another player who can get in on the goals.

After all, we're backing a few to go in so somebody else to be involved, and our man on this occasion is Chris Fuhrich, who has had a hand in four goals so far - two goals and two assists.

Both of his goals came in the same game, with both of his assists coming in another, and while we'd ideally like his production spread around a bit - the fact both of those game were at home gives us confidence.

He obviously likes the sound of his home fans and the surrounding of the Mercedez-Benz Arena - so with two goals and two assits in his two home game, we'll back Fuhrich for a goal or assist at 7/52.40 to put a nice gloss on our treble.

Back over 3.5 goals, Guirassy to score & Fuhrich goal or assist @ 9/25.50
