A crucial clash in the Premier League relegation fight is the focus of our football props column on Saturday with an 11/4 selection offered up...

Sheffield United v Nottingham Forest
Saturday 4 May, 15:00

It's a massive day in the Premier League relegation battle.

Luton picked up a precious point on Friday night and now both Burnley and Nottingham Forest get to respond.

For Forest, they face a game they and their fans will doubtless have been thinking about for some time.

It's been clear for weeks, if not months, that Sheffield United would be going down and that's now been confirmed. The Forest theory is that a team with nothing to play for should be defeated, with the subsequent three points being vital to their survival bid.

They certainly played well enough against champions Manchester City last week to suggest they can win at Bramall Lane, although the difference in pressure six days on is huge.

Last week was a free hit; this time it's looking like must-win. More possession can be expected with a front-foot performance being demanded.

Leg 1: Callum Hudson-Odoi 2+ shots

Against a side that has conceded more goals and shots than any other in the top flight this season, chances should come.

Chris Wood missed several last week and is tempting to make amends here - he's 13/10 to score. However, Taiwo Awoniyi could return here so perhaps his place is under threat.

I'm going to side, instead, with Callum Hudson-Odoi in the shots market.

The attacking midfielder has struck 2+ shots in five of his last six games and seven of his last nine. Against this defence, he looks more than capable of delivering again.

Leg 2: Jayden Bogle 1+ shot

I also like a couple of shots selections on the other side of the ball - the Blades have always given it a go in terms of getting at opposing teams. Their problem has been keeping the ball out at the other end.

They had 15 shots at Newcastle in a 5-1 loss last week and 18 against Burnley in their last home game (also a heavy defeat).

Jayden Bogle gets the nod here for 1+ shot.

The wing-back loves to get forward and has delivered for his backers of this bet in eight of the last nine games.

The Blades favour attacking down the right - only Chelsea have a high percentage of their attacks on that side - so Bogle should be getting into some decent positions.

Leg 3: Ben Brereton Diaz 1+ shot on target

But the best value arguably lies with Ben Brereton Diaz.

He's definitely improved the team since arriving in January and has hit a shot on target in 11 of his 13 Sheffield United appearances.

It's therefore a little surprising to see him at 8/111.73 for another here which takes our three-legged Bet Builder price up to around 11/43.75.

Back Hudson-Odoi 2+ shots, Bogle 1+ shot & Brereton Diaz 1+ shot on target @ around 11/43.75
