Pep Guardiola is looking to add the Super Cup to his Man City CV

Paul Higham has a 10/1 Bet Builder for Wednesday's Super Cup in Greece with Man City backed to see-off Sevilla.

Man City can add another piece of silverware to their CV if they can get the better of regulars Sevilla in the Super Cup in Greece on Wednesday.

City are making their first appearance in the Uefa showpiece, while it will be Sevilla's sixth Super Cup - winning their first against Barcelona but then losing five in a row.

And with Champions League sides winning nine of the last 10 then Pep Guardiola's side are naturally heavily favoured to keep that run going - even without Kevin De Bruyne.

Leg 1: Man City win to nil

Six of the last eight Super Cups have gone to extra time and Sevilla do step up in these big games, but City's defence should stand up to the task pretty comfortably.

Sevilla boss Jose Mendilibar has lost seven of eight games against Guardiola with his teams failing to score in six, so the omens aren't great.

They faced City twice in last season's Champions League and lost 3-1 and 4-0 so Guardiola's side are obviously a level above.

And with Josko Gvardiol coming in they'll only get stronger at the back so even if it's a tight one they should get this done without conceding.

Leg 2: Marcus Acuna 2+ fouls

Sevilla defender Marcos Acuna knows more than most what it's like to give a foul or two away here and there, and a team like City will show that perfectly.

The Argentinian gave away six fouls in two games against Man City is last season's Champions League so there's plenty of form there too.

Acuna had 65 fouls last season and had multiple fouls in 19 games so he's well worth taking for 2+ fouls here even at odds-on.

Leg 3: Rodri 1+ shot on target

He's arguably the best holding midfielder in the Premier League, but Rodri has been popping up in an attacking capcity of late.

Rodri started the season with a shot on target in the Community Shield and then had three on target at Burnley plus a goal and an assist - doing a pretty good Kevin De Bruyne impression.

That could come in handy with the Belgian playmaker now out injured and with plenty of possession again and Sevilla likely backed up, that leaves room for Rodri to arrive late to get in some efforts on goal.

The way he's been playing - 7/52.40 on Rodri to have 1+ shot on target looks a bit of a steal.
