Saturday Football Tips: Back Savio to strike for Girona

Girona's title dreams have been derailed with three defeats in four, and they now need to starting winning to cling on to a top four spot as they host Osasuna.

Michel's side are still just seven points off Real Madrid, but it's about steadied the ship right now and avoiding a bad run becoming a complete collapse - and bagging a Champions League spot would still be a remarkable achievement.

And Osasuna could be seen as a decent opponent for a bounce back given they're safely in midtable - apart from the fact they've won three out of four and are now just six points off a European place...

Leg 1: Girona to win

Girona's three latest defeats have all been on the road, and only Real Madrid have beaten them at home so far this season.

Last week's loss to Mallorca was a worry as their first defeat against a side outside the league's top five - but it was away from home and there's a reason they're 4/71.57 to win this.

At home Girona have taken care of business emphatically against sides outside of the big guns - winning all nine matches against side starting the week outside the top seven.

They've won those games 28-7 on aggregate as well, which leads us nicely onto leg 2....

Leg 2: Over 2.5 goals

Girona's home games average 3.6 goals per game with four of the last five going over 2.5 goals, a couple pretty comfortably, and with their need for a display here then this can be another.

Osasuna's away games have been pretty low on goals of late, but the home side can trump that form with their home strength, so we'll back over 2.5 goals here at 4/61.67.

Leg 3: Savio to score

With top scorer Artem Dovbyk's goal drought continuing, Savio looks the main man for the goals here, after scoring twice in Girona's last home game.

He's had nine efforts on goal over the last three games so has been active in front of goal, and at 13/53.60 anytime goalscorer he's our pick to find the net.
