We're heading to North Africa for today's wager, and Kev hopes to see defences dominate.

Future FC's defensive record is even better
Al Ahly v Future FC
Friday 16 December, 17:00
Rangers got the win we wanted last night, but the scoreline did us no favours, as that 3-2 success against Hibernian saw us fail to cover the Asian Handicap. We'll switch our attention to Egypt now, because there's a capital city derby to look forward to in Cairo, as the leaders Al Ahly face Future FC.
Al Ahly have won all six of their league games so far, and that's a statement of intent as they look to regain their league crown. The Red Devils finished third last term, and although they have won 42 league titles, the last of those came in 2020, so they are on a mission. Austrian Marcel Koller is at the coaching helm, and he has seen his team concede just two league goals so far.
While Al Ahly are a traditional powerhouse of African football, Future FC were only formed in 2011. That was as Coca-Cola FC, but a takeover by sports investment Future saw the name changed. The team is still fizzing though, with four wins and two draws so far in the league. Future have conceded just one goal so far, and if you stretch back into last season, they have lost just two of their last 15 top-flight matches.
Given the defensive strength of both sides so far, I'm happy to back Under 2.5 Goals here at 1.875/6. Just three of Future's last 17 competitive matches have featured three goals or more, and it's five of the last 17 for Al Ahly.
