There are European qualifiers to come in midweek but it's a pretty low-key start to the week for props punters.
However, opportunity knocks, to some extent, in the Danish Superligaen where the data suggests a 2/1 shot could offer from value.
Admittedly it's the start of a new campaign but for those happy to ride with last season's numbers, under 4.5 cards is worth backing at 13/201.65.
Referee Peter Kjaersgaard produced four or fewer in 12 of his 16 Superligaen games in 2022/23, while under 4.5 also landed in his first match of this season, albeit that was a European tie.
Only two sides picked up fewer cards than Nordsjaelland in the Danish top flight last season, while last week saw the two teams pick up just one card between them. Neither hit double figures for fouls committed either.
I'm going to double that up with under 2.5 goals, something which landed for Aarhus in a league-high 68% of games last season.
They like to try to make things very hard for the opposition and that was shown in last week's opening game - a 1-0 win over Vejle - in which the visitors managed an expected-goals (xG) figure of just 0.25.
Nordsjaelland should be sharper in attack - they scored four in their opener last week - but four of the five meetings between the sides last season saw under 2.5 goals.
After admitting his "shock" at how his side started Thursday's 3-0 defeat to Club Brugge in the Europa Conference League, boss Uwe Rosler will doubtless be aiming to focus on defensive solidity again.
And a safety-first approach here could well deliver the bet.
The Bet Builder double pays 2/13.00 which on a quiet day will do just fine.
