Premier League Winner

We saw 36 goals across the 10 Matchday 28 games but crucially both Arsenal and Manchester City recorded single-goal wins, meaning it's no change at the top of the Premier League table.

The Citizens beat Leeds 1-0 on Saturday evening to close the gap to just two points, and as a result they shortened to 11/82.38 in the Premier League Winner market. But 24 hours later Arsenal won a feisty London derby by beating Chelsea 2-1 at the Emirates Stadium, meaning they regained their five-point lead, though they have played one game more.

It means that the destivy of the title remains in both team's hands as they are set to meet at the Etihad Stadium in April, so should any of the two teams win every single game from now until the end of the season then that team will be champions.

Following the conclusion of Matchday 28 the odds returned to what they were seven days ago with Arsenal 4/91.44 to win the title and Man City back out to 7/42.75.

Team Current Odds Pre-Season Odds Sportsbook High Sportsbook Low
Arsenal 4/91.44 9/43.25 5/23.50 1/61.17
Man City 7/42.75 7/24.50 8/19.00 11/102.11

Premier League Top 4 Finish

Manchester United and Liverpool were the biggest winners in the top four race this weekend as they both picked up three points while Aston Villa and Chelsea both lost.

Aston Villa commenced Matchday 28 with a Midlands derby at Wolves, but following a 2-0 defeat, in addition to United's 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon, they've now dropped to fourth in the table and have drifted to 11/102.11 in the Premier League Top 4 Finish market having been as short as 1/51.20 just a few weeks ago.

United are the shortest price they've been all season at 3/101.30, while Liverpool are now 2/51.40 after thrashing West Ham 5-2 on Saturday afternoon.

The Reds are up to fifth in the table, one place ahead of Chelsea who lost 2-1 at Arsenal and have drifted to the biggest price they've been in the market all season, out to 7/24.50.

Team Current Odds Pre-Season Odds Sportsbook High Sportsbook Low
Man United 3/101.30 3/14.00 5/16.00 3/101.30
Liverpool 2/51.40 1/161.06 5/42.25 1/331.03
Aston Villa 11/102.11 4/15.00 16/117.00 1/51.20
Chelsea 7/24.50 8/151.53 7/24.50 8/151.53

Premier League Relegation

With all five teams in the below table losing in Matchday 28 there's literally no change at the bottom of the table with Burnley 19th on 19 points, West Ham 18th (25pts), Nottm Forest 17th (27pts), Tottenham 16th (29pts) and Leeds 15th (31pts).

In fact, the only team in danger of relegation that won over the weekend were Wolves, who got the better of Aston Villa 2-0 in the Midlands derby, but given Robin Edwards' men are still 14 points from safety as well as having played a game more than all the teams immediately above them, there's no odds on offer about the Molineux club to go down.

Matchday 28 results mean there is very little change in the Premier League Relegation market with Burnley, West Ham and Nottm Forest still the same price as they were seven days ago at 1/5001.00, 8/151.53 and 11/43.75 respectively.

Tottenham, who were as high as 500/1501.00 to be relegated in the first few weeks of the season, shortened from 6/17.00 to 9/25.50 following their 2-1 defeat at Fulham, but they drifted slightly on Sunday afternoon, back out to 5/16.00, while Leeds, despite losing 1-0 to Man City, drifted two points from this time last week, out to 16/117.00

Team Current Odds Pre-Season Odds Sportsbook High Sportsbook Low
Burnley 1/5001.00 1/41.25 1/21.50 1/5001.00

Nottm Forest 11/43.75 8/19.00 8/19.00 2/13.00
