Premier League football tips and predictions
12:30 - Brentford v Fulham: Back Cottagers in derby
The Opta Stat:
Fulham have won each of their last three league games against Brentford, more than they had in their first 14 21st century meetings with the Bees (W2 D4 L8). Brentford, meanwhile, have drawn each of their last four Premier League matches, having only drawn four of their first 28 games in 2025-26 (W13 D11). The Bees have only drawn five league games in a row once before, doing so in March/April 1957.
Only Erling Haaland (22) has scored more Premier League goals this season than Brentford's Igor Thiago (21). The last Brazilian player to score more in a season in one of Europe's big-five leagues was Neymar for Barcelona in 2015-16 (24).

15:00 - Newcastle v Bournemouth - Alan Shearer's prediction
Alan Shearer: I've got no belief in Newcastle winning. That's the problem. I don't know what Newcastle are going to turn up. When they get into the lead, they can't get that second goal, and that's hurt them so many times this season.
I was massively impressed with Bournemouth last weekend with how they played at Arsenal. Some really top performances from a lot of players, and their recruitment's been good. I know Iraola's announced he's not going to be there next season. That will be a huge loss for them. I just think his style of play, how brave he's been, and that was summed up at going to Arsenal and winning last weekend.
They press ridiculously high, do it really well and make it difficult for the opposition. After selling so many of their players at the end of last season, or the beginning of the season, to get through and get the recruitment that they have done is a huge plus for Iraola and for Bournemouth, so they'll miss him, definitely.
As much as I'd love to see a Newcastle win, I don't feel confident in saying that, so I'm going to say a draw.
15:00 - Leeds v Wolves: Back hosts to step towards safety
Mark Stinchcombe: After their 4-0 drubbing at West Ham last weekend, Wolves have now failed to win 33 of their last 36 Premier League matches so we can straight away begin with opposing them here. Hosts Leeds were very impressive in their 2-1 win at Man Utd and with that victory moved themselves six points clear of the drop and with remaining fixtures that include games versus all of Burnley, Tottenham and West Ham, survival is firmly in their hands.
Leeds are only 4/7 to win but we can boost that to 17/20 by backing Over 1.5 goals alongside it. 16 of Rob Edwards' 21 games in charge have seen Over 1.5 goals (76%) and six of Leeds' eight leagues wins have been greater than 1-0 including the 3-1 victory in the reverse fixture.
Back Leeds to win and Over 1.5 goals
17:30 - Tottenham v Brighton: Back Seagulls to show De Zerbi no mercy
Kevin Hatchard: De Zerbi is undoubtedly an incredibly gifted and smart coach, but we have very little evidence that he can get his rather complicated tactical scheme across quickly. Last weekend didn't prove to be an immediate uplift, and Spurs are running into a Brighton team that had found a rich vein of form in recent weeks.
We can back Brighton Draw No Bet (+0 on the Asian Handicap) at 1.855/6 and that seems more than fair. If the game is drawn our stake is returned, but if Brighton win, we do too.

20:00 - Chelsea v Man Utd: Back reds all over at 66/1
Jimmy The Punt: Chelsea top the red card charts this season with seven, they only need three more to break the Premier League record for most red cards in a season.
The Blues have picked up two in their last six games, been involved in five red card games across their last 12 league games and 14 of their games in all competitions have seen someone sent for an early bath.
Manchester United have been involved in eight red card games, five of which have come in 11 games since Michael Carrick took charge.

12:30 Championship - Millwall v QPR: Back the Rs
Jack Critchley: Millwall's last two performances have been a little underwhelming. Admittedly, last weekend they came up against a stubborn West Brom outfit, who happily settled for a goalless draw, but they were poor against Norwich in their previous outing at The Den.
The Lions are two points behind Ipswich, but with just a single win from their last five, the play-offs seem the more likely option. They've failed to score a first-half goal in any of their last five matches, and need to make a faster start on Saturday lunchtime. On a positive note, they have an excellent recent record against QPR and Casper de Norre has signed a contract extension with the club this week.
Millwall should win this, but they have been unreliable in Bermondsey and this is the wrong time to meet a team who are enjoying some late-season form.
QPR are playing with very little pressure, and are unbeaten in their last five. They've been better on the road, helped by a handful of players finally returning from injury. They weren't at their best against Bristol City last weekend, but they look far more organised at the back, and probably should have beaten Preston on Easter Monday. They will make it tough for the hosts.

15:00 L1 Barnsley v Bradford - Back hosts in Yorkshire derby
Alan Dudman: Barnsley are not a particularly good side and they failed to score past Port Vale on Tuesday in a 0-0. They should have won as they had the better chances, but they did collect a first clean sheet in four months - and that tells you how bad they have been.
The bet here surely has to be opposing the hosts, who might find themselves under more pressure from the fans as the boos have been ringing around Oakwell for some time.
Bradford's home form is far superior to their away totals although they did spurn the opportunity to take all three points in the reverse fixture in October finishing 2-2. That fixture threw up 11 corners each if you like those side markets, but Bradford dominated the game in terms of shots and chances and should have won.

20:00 Copa Del Rey - Atletico Madrid v Real Sociedad: Cup final can feature goals
Kevin Hatchard: What a week it could prove to be for Atletico Madrid and long-serving coach Diego Simeone. On Tuesday the capital club dumped Barcelona out of the Champions League, losing 2-1 on the night but winning 3-2 on aggregate. While the out-of-date view of Simeone's football is that it is safety-first and defensive, the truth is very different.
This is a squad that has lots of technically gifted attacking players, and it's no longer the biting, snarling, fighting Atleti of old. If you look at their nine competitive games against Real Madrid and Barcelona this season, there have been a total of 34 goals.
That ability to score goals consistently against the big hitters has seen them dump Barcelona out of two major cup competitions this term, as they also beat the Catalan giants 4-3 on aggregate in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey. Basque giants Real Sociedad await in the final this weekend, and we could be in for a cracker.
La Real's season has been transformed by former Stuttgart and Hoffenheim boss Pellegrino Matarazzo. The Italian-American's first game in charge was a 1-1 draw against Atletico in early January, and since then the San Sebastian club have won ten, drawn four and lost three in all competitions. On of those three defeats was a 3-2 reverse against Atletico at the Metropolitano.
This is a special game for Atletico's record scorer Antoine Griezmann, as he started his La Liga career with Real Sociedad. He'll leave Spain soon to move to MLS, and this is his penultimate shot at glory with Los Colchoneros.
I fancy goals here, and I'll back Over 2.5 Goals at 1.98. I know cup finals are often dour, careful affairs, but that's not the current reality with these two sides. 12 of Real Sociedad's last 17 games have seen an Over 2.5 Goals bet land, and that bet has been successful in 12 of the last 20 Copa del Rey finals.
