Manchester City are 3/14.00 to win the Premier League in 2026/27 after they confirmed Enzo Maresca as their new manager. Only champions Arsenal are a shorter price.

Betfair have launched a ranger of City specials markets as their new era begins following Pep Guardiola's departure at the end of last season.

Maresca, who worked as a coach under Guardiola at City before leaving to manage Leicester then Chelsea, will hope to make an immediate impact.

City are evens to win at least one trophy in 2026/27 and the signs, based on Maresca's track record, are promising.

In his first and only full season at Chelsea they won the Europa Conference League and Club World Cup.

He has been ruthless in clearing out his squads in the past and you can get 5/23.50 on one of Phil Foden, Erling Haaland or Rodri leaving the club this season.

Shearer says Maresca's task "almost impossible"

It won't be easy to mould the team in his own image after the success of the Guardiola decade at City.

Maresca faces an "almost impossible task", according to Betfair ambassador Alan Shearer.

Shearer said: " It is an incredibly tough act to follow with Pep, maybe almost impossible, because of what he has achieved."

He compared Maresca's job to that face by David Moyes when the Scot took over from Alex Ferguson at Manchester United in 2013.

Moyes failed to survive the season but the Betfair odds indicate Maresca will do better.
