"Ronaldo certainly lived up to the hype last weekend, rewarding over 1 million managers who selected him from the start with a brace against Newcastle United. He tops the most transferred in players once again this week."

The Headline Pick: Mo Salah - Crystal Palace (H)

Mo Salah has had an impressive start to the season, scoring three goals in four games and delivering two assists. Hopefully his form will continue in Gameweek 5 with a home clash against Crystal Palace - he's set to be a popular captain pick in this fixture.

He's among the top three players for shots (16) and shots in the box (13) this season. He's also registered 12 key passes, two of which were big chances created. His potential for both goals and assists remains high, plus he is on penalties.

Salah has a fantastic record against Palace, with six goals and five assists from seven appearances for Liverpool. Crystal Palace have started the season in fine defensive form, but face a stiffer test in front of a packed Anfield this weekend.

Salah is available to back at 2/1 to score two or more goals against Crystal Palace this weekend.

The Budget Pick: Raphinha - Newcastle United (A)

We identified Raphinha as a great value player at the start of the season and Leeds United have finally reached their run of promising fixtures, starting with Newcastle Untied on Friday night. Hopefully he can improve on his tally of a single goal so far in this campaign.

Raphinha's underlying statistics certainly suggest more attacking returns are around the corner. He's had 11 shots this season and simply needs to improve his accuracy. He's also registered seven key passes.

He registered a goal and an assist in this fixture last campaign and Newcastle United have started the season in terrible defensive form. The Magpies have conceded the most goals (12) and big chances (16) of any Premier League team.

The VAR Pick: Ismaila Sarr - Norwich (A)

It's been a quiet few weeks for Watford's Ismaila Sarr following an impressive Gameweek 1, but expect a return to form soon, potentially starting this weekend with a great fixture away against bottom of the table Norwich City.

With Troy Deeney now at Birmingham City, Sarr should be on penalties for Watford and has encouragingly played every single minute of their Premier League campaign to date. He's the talisman of this Watford side.

You can back VAR and bet on Watford to score a penalty against Norwich City at odds of 4/1.

The Sleeper Pick: Sadio Mane - Crystal Palace (H)

Sadio Mane may be going under the radar as a fantasy option this season compared to his team-mate Mo Salah, but he should be considered in his own right this week. He registered ten shots against Leeds United last weekend, eventually finding the back of the net.

Mane has scored more goals against Crystal Palace than any other team in the Premier League, with 12 goals in 13 appearances. He's got on the scoresheet in their last eight meetings which is a phemoneal scoring streak.

Mane tops the charts for all shot metrics, and lies second for big chances with five. While I prefer Salah in the long-term and wouldn't advocate owning both, Mane presents a nice differential option for this weekend.

The Wildcard Pick: Cristiano Ronaldo - West Ham (A)

Ronaldo certainly lived up to the hype last weekend, rewarding over 1 million managers who selected him from the start with a brace against Newcastle United. He tops the most transferred in players once again this week.

Ronaldo registered six shots and one key pass last weekend, with his two shots on target finding the back of the net, demonstrating his clinical finishing. Up next, it's a West Ham side who've conceded five goals in four games.

Ronaldo will prove challenging to stop, with Manchester United among the top form teams in the league this season. We still don't know whether Ronaldo will definitively be on penalties, but I would say that there's a good chance.

Back Cristiano Ronaldo to score against West Ham at 10/11 in Gameweek 5.
