"Bursaspor have the best goalscoring record outside the top six, and their opponents are conceding plenty of goals, having leaked at least two goals in four of their last six away games."
After securing a winner in Germany, Kev's whisking us away to Turkey, and he's backing hosts Bursaspor to show their attacking quality.
Hosts to sparkle
Bursaspor v Bandirmaspor
Thursday 15 April, 17:00
Osnabruck's descent into ignominy continued last night, as they lost 1-0 to Jahn Regensburg, but frankly we didn't care because it brought us our first winner of the week.
We'll zoom to Turkey now, and take in a second-tier game between Bursaspor and Bandirmaspor. Both teams are in mid-table, but we're backing the hosts to find their scoring touch.
Bursaspor (known as the Green Crocodiles) were in the Europa League as recently as 2015, and they were actually champions of the country five years before that. However, they have fallen on harder times, and are trying to work their way back into the top flight. Things aren't going well in that regard, as they are tenth, well short of the top six.
At least Bursaspor are scoring freely. They have netted 47 goals, which gives them the best attacking record outside the top six. At home, they have scored 24 goals, and overall they have scored at least twice in 12 of their 29 games.
Bandirmaspor are a place worse off, and they keep leaking goals. They have conceded at least twice in seven of their last 10 games, and they were beaten 2-1 the last time they met Bursaspor. They have lost five of their last six away games, and have conceded at least twice in four of those games.
We can back Bursaspor to score at least twice on the Sportsbook at 2.26/5, and I think that's the way to go.
