Europa League Tips & Predictions

17:45 - Union Saint-Gilloise v Liverpool: Hosts can keep it close

Kevin Hatchard: "Klopp has selected strong line-ups through the group stage, but with nothing on the line here and a game against Manchester United on the horizon, it would be surprising to see a full-strength side deployed. Youngsters like Ben Doak and Jarell Quansah should feature, with Caoimhin Kelleher once again between the posts in place of Alisson. Harvey Elliott is pushing for a start after his heroics at Selhurst Park - the impressive 20-year-old scored a stunning late winner.

"Union Saint-Gilloise have all the motivation here, and just as I did ahead of these sides' meetings at Anfield, I'm happy to back the Belgians +2 on the Handicap. I'll also throw in Over 8.5 Corners (there were 18 corners in the first meeting, and Union have to push forward for the win).

"I'll finish it off with one of our new markets here on the Betfair Sportsbook, and back Cody Gakpo to be fouled. The Dutchman has already been fouled 17 times in all competitions this season, and he's been fouled at least once in 10 of his last 12 appearances."

Back Union SG +2 Handicap, Over 8.5 Corners and Gakpo to be fouled at 6/5

20:00 - Brighton v Marseille: Back Mitoma in 5/2 Bet Builder

Jamie Kemp: "Gennaro Gattuso has cultivated a spirited Marseille team, but they've not been used to being starved of the ball. They've been free-scoring and energetic in attack, and this is a game that will demand a different side to them; one more concerned with stability.

"All in all, I'll take Brighton to get over the line with a victory. On an evening that could well turn into attack v defence, their force of play can win out in a do-or-die game, regardless of which opponent comes to the Amex.

"Marseille will fight hard and do everything they can - no doubt including plenty of fouls and cutting of momentum - but with the necessity to win, the Seagulls can make it another special night in Europe."

Brighton to win and Kaoru Mitoma to be fouled 2+ times @ 5/2

20:00 - West Ham v Freiburg: Jaded Hammers to fall short

Kevin Hatchard: "West Ham know a draw will secure top spot here, and given their recent form I can't get behind backing them to win at 1.88.

"Freiburg are pretty tough to beat, and apart form their defeat to the Hammers back in Germany, they have been flawless in this competition.

"SCF have an in-form striker, solid defenders like Matthias Ginter and Philipp Lienhart, and a set-piece king in Grifo.

"The Hammers have won just three of their last six home games in all competitions, and it could be a nervy night, so I'll lay them at 1.88."

Lay West Ham @ 1.88

20:00 - Real Betis v Rangers: Count on cards in 7/2 Bet Builder

Paul Higham: "Manuel Pellegrini's side picked up three cards at Ibrox in the reverse fixture and given the scenario then another over 2.5 card performance at 6/4 looks the bet.

"We'll go for the same bet for Rangers too, who are shorter at 20/23 for over 2.5 cards but have had eight fewer yellows and one less red so far.

"As the away team they'll be more likely to get decisions against them, and as part of the 12 cards they've picked up in the group they had four in both games against Sparta Prague.

"Just one card was shown to Rangers when they hosted Betis but this is a crunch game so we can expect an uptick in their bookings here."

Back over 2.5 cards for Real Betis & Rangers @ 7/2
