Wigan Athletic v AFC Wimbledon Tip - Back Wigan to win Match Odds 90 @ 4/51.80

Saturday 25th April 15:00

A worrying set of results have put Wimbledon in big trouble, almost by stealth they've dropped to 20th in the table with two games to save themselves.

It's a run of turmoil with eight losses from their last nine and their only hope here is that Wigan on 56 points are in a cosy enough spot in mid-table.

The big worry for Dons fans is the amount of goals they have conceded away from home - currently at 41. Without a goal scored at the other end in their last four away matches, I am hoping Wigan seeing this as a home swansong before the campaign is out win for the 12th time.

Plymouth Argyle v Port Vale Tip - Back Lorent Tolaj Anytime Goalscorer @ 1/12.00

Plymouth's 67 points now could be slightly beyond them to convert to a play-off spot with Luton coming up on the blindside and the current ones booked for the final two spots in Stockport and Stevenage both have 71 points.

This is a must win game for Tom Cleverley's team.

You wouldn't mind Port Vale as an opponent in any run chase, and while the host to win price is far too short for me to put up here at 1/31.33, a goal from Lorent Tolaj would be rather beneficial to both causes - Plymouth's and mine.

Tom Cleverley has said this week: "It will be a decision on do we rotate at the end of a three-game week? Do we rotate a couple of positions to get the freshest legs out possible, or stick with the consistency of the line-up?"

Tolaj has to be the bet here for Anytime Goalscorer following a decent run of three in his last four.

The Swiss striker left Vale for Plymouth, and while not cheap, has rewarded the fee with 20 goals in all competitions this season, 16 of them in League One, as well as seven assists. Assisted by his aide de camp and another former Valiant Ronan Curtis, they create too often to ignore.

Huddersfield v Mansfield Town Tip - Back Huddersfield to win @ 4/51.80

Saturday 25th April 15:00

Huddersfield have won each of their last three league games against Mansfield Town and will be looking to win four in succession for the first time, and readers will know that in the last month or so I have given up on the Stags.

Too many draws of late have all but extinguished the hopes of the play-offs but they are scoring plenty of goals. Indeed, in their last seven matches they've scored 13 times, including three against Bolton last weekend and two against Champions Lincoln.

Some of their play was outstanding in cutting open a fine Bolton team and there were some good individual performances and it could have been so different last week in the 3-3 as they conceded on 101 minutes.

They've been toe-to-toe with some good sides of late so hopefully they can sign off with a home win.

Walsall v Harrogate Tip - Back Harrogate to win @ 11/53.20

Saturday 25th April 15:00

It has seemed unlikely for the whole season but remarkably Harrogate still have a punchers' chances of surviving. They are bottom on 36 with fellow drop dwellers Barrow on 36. One ahead are Newport, two ahead Crawley.

Their final home match against a flying Barnet side might be too much of an ask, so they've surely got to gamble here and go for it at Walsall, a side who have more than their fair share of inconsistencies.

Walsall were 0-4 losers to Cheltenham over Easter in one of their worst ever displays and then followed up with a 3-1 win over Barrow - one of their best.

The Saddlers have lost nine at home this term and since February, Harrogate have won maximum points at Barrow, Grimsby and Tranmere.

A late goal which was almost posthumous last Saturday came on 99 minutes in a 1-0 win against Colchester - a result that can still have a huge bearing on their survival.

Barnet v Gillingham Tip - Back Kabongo Tshimanga Anytime Scorer @ 6/42.50

Saturday 25th April 15:00

I've started to call Barnet "my boys", as my local team and regular winners these days in the column.

The Bees have won each of their last three league games and will be looking to claim victory in four in succession in the EFL for the first time since January 2012.

They've won five of their last six, hence the 2/51.40 price to win this weekend, but they've scored 18 from their last nine and Kabongo Tshimanga is enjoying a surfers' spell so golden that I cannot ignore him this Saturday for anytime honours at 6/42.50.

He netted both last weekend in beating Notts County 1-2, a great win and result and now has seven goals from his last last games.

They created five big chances at Notts County, are are an excellent team at home, and with a striker in form am happy to go with the 6/42.50 here.

Chesterfield v Crewe Tip - Back BTTS 'Yes' @ 4/61.67

Saturday 25th April 15:00

Chesterfield have won four of their last six league games (D2), with three of those victories coming via 1-0 scorelines, so it doesn't lead us naturally to a BTTS bet.

But this looks more about the Alex and which side turns up. They've conceded three each in their last two matches, both landing the BTTS bet.

Crewe's xA is one of the largest metrics away from home in the division at 1.53 and the 4/61.67 looks sound enough to play.
