The Daily Acca: United to win as part of this 14/1 shot

Leg 1 Man United (90mins) @ 4/91.44 (15:00)

It can't be said that Manchester United are back to their best, but they have certainly turned the corner with a pair of wins, and they should be able to make it two home wins over Crystal Palace in the space of a few days.

Roy Hodgson made plenty of changes for the midweek Carabao Cup clash, so this will be a different Eagles team on Saturday. They had previously been held at home by Fulham and beaten at Aston Villa though, and their early season promise has started to fade.

Leg 2 Arsenal (90mins) @ 4/91.44 (15:00)

The Gunners were held by Spurs last Sunday, but they came through their Carabao Cup tie at Brentford on Wednesday, and they should be able to brush aside Bournemouth at the Vitality.

The Cherries were also involved in midweek cup action, and they too won - beating Stoke 2-0 at home. It ended a run of three without a win, but that previous victory was also against Championship opposition, and they are winless in six in the Premier League this term.

Leg 3 Ipswich (90mins) @ 5/61.84 (15:00)

The Tractor Boys have continued the momentum from last season's promotion, and they start the weekend in second place in the Championship - level on points with Leicester.

They head to the John Smith's Stadium on a run of six straight wins in all competitions, and they are scoring goals for fun.

Huddersfield nicked a point at Coventry in Darren Moore's first game in charge, but they didn't really deserve the draw, and this is probably harder.

Leg 4 Preston (90mins) @ 5/42.25 (15:00)

Preston remain the only unbeaten team in the Championship, and while they were held to their second draw of the campaign last week, I fancy them to make it win number seven at Deepdale.

West Brom are down in 13^th, with their downfall being the fact that they have won just two of their eight outings. They have struggled on the road for quite a while now, and it's just three away success in the calendar year of 2023.

Leg 5 Peterborough (90mins) @ 8/111.73 (15:00)

Posh were knocked out of the cup on penalties by Mansfield during the week, but that won't bother Darren Ferguson too much as his sole aim is to get the team back in the Championship.

They are currently in eighth - unbeaten in three in the league - and they have won two of their four at home this year.

Bristol Rovers have won their last two in League One, but prior to that it was just one win in six, and Joey Barton's side will find it tough at London Road.

Acca Wreckers

I would have second thoughts about putting Derby at 1/21.50 in my Acca this weekend, as they are a very short price based on what they have achieved this season.

The Rams have won just one of their last three in the league, and it's just one victory from four attempts at home this season. Cambridge were held by Port Vale last Saturday, but they have already won at Fleetwood this term, and they can avoid defeat at Pride Park.

The Sunday Noon kick-off sees Leicester priced up at 10/111.91 to win at Ewood Park, and that has to be opposed.

The Foxes have been fantastic this year, but Enzo Maresca fielded quite a strong XI at Anfield during the week, and Blackburn seem to raise their game against better teams.

Rovers have beaten West Brom, Middlesbrough and Watford this season, and they score enough goals to be competitive against Leicester.
