A trio worth watching over the next few months

Martin Keighley looks a trainer with a big future ahead of him, 18 winners already to his name this campaign, the highlight of which being the success of Wolf Moon at Cheltenham's Paddy Power meeting earlier this month. Since that success the Gloucestershire trainer has enjoyed three more winners and is teaming up with Warren Marston to great effect. The veteran jockey was seen at his very best when getting Any Currency up for success in a handicap at Ascot last week.

Charlie Mann has his string in a rich vein of form, sending out six winners in the past fortnight, and the Berkshire trainer looks to have the ammunition to continue this throughout the winter. Shining Gale has been the most high-profile winner of the season to date, successful in a valuable handicap chase at Haydock last weekend. The Glacial Storm gelding picked up an injury, however, and will miss the rest of the season.

The turf season may have drawn to a close but Mark Johnston looks set to continue sending out winners throughout the winter on the all-weather. He has a particularly good strike-rate at Southwell over the past five years (30%) and Solicitor was a runaway winner at the Nottinghamshire course last week.
