13:30 Carlisle - Opportunity has big chance

Carlisle has inherited Haydock's abandoned card and the opening handicap there can go to top-rated Horse In Focus Opportunity.

The son of Frankel had some really strong form last season, and he shaped with plenty of encouragement when third to Wine Dark Sea on his reappearance at Ascot earlier this month.

This race should suit Opportunity's strong-travelling style and the William Haggas gelding looks to have excellent claims of doubling his tally.

15:45 Carlisle - Princling looks well treated for handicap debut

Haggas, who has the 'Hot Trainer' flag, could well be on the mark again later in the afternoon as Princling looks very interesting from a BHA mark of 87 in the Silver Bowl Handicap.

Princling shaped with plenty of promise when second on both his runs last year, notably at Newmarket, and made no mistake when landing very short odds on his return at Wetherby.

A well-bred son of Kingman, Princling - a Horse In Focus and top rated with a 'p' - looks to have considerable potential so his opening mark may well underestimate him.

16:38 Chester - Folk Pageant can follow up Newmarket win

Folk Pageant looks a progressive filly for Charlie Johnston and just the type that her stable does well with, so she can make it three out of four this season in the final race at Chester.

Successful on her reappearance in a maiden at Lingfield, Folk Pageant put a disappointing handicap debut behind her when much improved stepping up to a mile and a quarter at Newmarket a fortnight ago.

There was plenty to like about the way she went about things there so a 3 lb rise could prove lenient. Top rated with a 'p', she also has the 'Jockey Uplift' flag with Hector Crouch in the saddle.
