Hermetic made a highly encouraging start for Ian Williams when fourth behind Master Builder at York last month and is taken to come out on top in a competitive staying event.

A big, imposing type, the four-year-old had changed hands for €105,000 after winning two of his four outings for Christophe Ferland in France six months earlier and shaped well making his handicap debut in a race with plenty of depth.

He looks sure to win races having joined a yard which excels with this type, a dual-purpose career likely in the offing given his size.
