Timeform assess the field for The Great Offers At wolverhampton-racecourse.co.uk Apprentice Handicap (Class 4).
Seven go to post for this handicap for apprentice jockeys over the extended nine furlongs at Dunstall Park. The ratings are headed by New Star.
Scamperdale: Prolific last winter and has come back down to competitive mark now. Last couple of starts have been encouraging and could go well here.
Hucking Heat: Holding form better since C/D success in December and current mark makes him of some interest here; young apprentice yet to ride a winner under Rules.
Princess Cocoa: Last success came in this race twelve months ago off same mark and couple of recent spins should have put her spot on for this.
New Star: Won over C/D off 2 lb higher mark in October and shaped as though returning to form when fourth to Ahlawy here again last time (said to have been struck into); no surprise were he to put up a bold showing.
Just Observing: Lightly-raced but good record on polytrack over the years (runner-up 3 of 4 starts on surface) and confirmed ability still fully intact after 17-month absence when beaten head by Folio last time; every chance.
Monfils Monfils: Fairly useful on his day on turf but offered little on all-weather last term to make him of an interest in first-time cheekpieces here - lowest draw not doing him any favours either.
Kestrel Cross broke down in a race here on Saturday and is a likely non-runner.

This looks a good opportunity for Vertigo On Course, a fast-finishing third at Southwell last week. Young Dottie's success last month is working out well and she also makes appeal, while each-way players could do worse than side with Toolentidhaar....

Despite being the senior citizen of the party, Mister Nous retains plenty of ability, and having won five times in France appears ready to open his British account. The two handicap debutants could be the ones to focus on here, with Ambrogina favoured more than Seamster. Knightfire will have to settle for a place again....
