Jamie Osbourne's Docofthebay heads the Timeform ratings. He is a smart handicapper who finished in the frame on four of his seven outings in 2008, putting up creditable efforts when fourth in the Zetland Gold Cup in May and when a neck second to Mr Aviator in the Royal Hunt Cup at Ascot in June. Docofthebay put two poor efforts behind him when second to Eddie Jock in a minor event at Great Leighs on his penultimate outing, although he was slowly away in the Cambridgeshire next time.

Jamie Spencer takes the ride on the Clive Brittain trained Mahadee, a useful performer who won four handicaps during 2008. On his latest victory he recorded an easy three and a half length success over Premier Danseur, always travelling well and quickening in good style despite the runner-up hanging into him. Mahadee found the step up to listed class beyond him at Great Leighs next time, when getting into a battle for the lead but is versatile regarding tactics.

Indian Diva improved when successful in a handicap at Southwell a week ago, travelling strongly on her fibresand debut to beat To Be Or Not To. Although that victory came courtesy of a slipping BHA mark, she looked an improved performer that day and is likely to continue to give a good account.

Ian Semple's Abbondanza has finished in the frame on his last five starts and was a respectable fourth behind Aeroplane in a handicap at Kempton last time. He had previously finished a creditable third in a minor event at Lingfield on his penultimate start, acquitting himself well in the face of a stiff task when travelling strongly a long way.

Tourist has left Barry Hills and been gelded since shaping as if amiss at Newcastle in June. On his penultimate start he was successful in a maiden at Nottingham, still looking green. He is lightly raced, with just five career starts under his belt.

Naomh Geileis has finished last in two handicaps on his return from fourteen months off and has got a bit to prove now, whilst Fajr is another who looks to have lost his way, never a threat at Lingfield last Saturday following a short break.
