Timeform: The one to watch

Timeform predict a bright future for a horse who shares his name with a Preston North-End legend.
Few novice hurdlers impress with their jumping technique as much as Finney did when making just his second start over timber recently at Plumpton.
Above average in bumpers, winning at Chepstow, Finney's display of extremely fluent hurdling suggests he'll be at least useful over hurdles and he's done little else to dispute that in his two efforts to date. The Oliver Sherwood-trained six-year-old shaped well when third to Cheltenham Festival hope Diamond Harry and subsequent-winner Keki Buku at Uttoxeter on his debut, then improved plenty on that form in finding only dual bumper winner Alderluck too strong at the former track next time having travelled at least as well as that rival for the most part and even nosed ahead at the last.
He'll be most exciting when sent over fences in time, bearing in mind not just his jumping but his, but he's a banker to win races over hurdles closer to hand.
