Luca Cumani's gelding is still ahead of the handicapper and can land a win or two in the weeks to come

Still only four runs into his career, Luca Cumani's gelding Kazbow is one to look out for in handicaps over 12 furlongs or more in the coming weeks after very much taking the eye on both of his starts this year so far.

Having travelled with real purpose on his reappearance before tiring, the son of Rainbow Quest was unfortunate to bump into a resurgent Admirable Duque at Wolverhampton last week, coming five lengths clear of the remainder despite the steady pace.

Kazbow needed stoking up from some way out at Wolverhampton, which isn't particularly disconcerting given his pedigree - further to being by stamina influence Rainbow Quest, his half-brother Key Time won at up to 21 furlongs and his dam Kasota was a winner at 14 furlongs.

Still open to improvement and clearly well ahead of his current mark, Kazbow is in good hands and should be placed to good effect before long. L. M. Cumani
