Timeform run the rule over a five-year-old who recently enjoyed a successful hurdles debut.

Aachen was a useful winner up to fifteen furlongs on the Flat for Andre Fabre and looks set to get somewhere near that standard over hurdles too judging by his successful debut over timber at Taunton on Thursday.

The five-year-old jumped fluently in touch throughout and after leading turning in galloped on powerfully to beat the improving Big Eared Fran by six lengths. He looks sure to improve, and while his Cheltenham Festival entries show the regard he's held in by connections, Aachen being the latest addition to the Findlay & Bloom partnership, a penalty is unlikely to prevent him from winning a novice before then.
