"Autumn Blades has plenty more ability than he has shown on the track, with his lack of effort under pressure resulting in a record which shows twenty-four runs in the frame, not making him one for win purposes."

The Alan Bailey-trained Autumn Blades appears to have a consistent profile, a point supported by placed efforts in two handicaps and a claimer on his last three outings. However, the four-year-old has plenty more ability than he has shown on the track, with his lack of effort under pressure resulting in a record which shows 24 runs in the frame, not making him one for win purposes.
Stanley Goodspeed, a useful performer earlier in his career, has had his share of physical problems, judged by a two-year absence between 2006 and 2008. However, it is his temperament which is of concern nowadays. The John Hills-trained six-year-old looked to have retained a fair bit of ability earlier this season, but his temperament has got the better of him on a number of occasions of late, including when well held last time.
