Frank Lampard celebrate Chelsea's third goal
"The 0-0 draw at Villa Park was not particularly great news for Martin O'Neill's men who slip to [5.6] in the top four finish market. Manchester City, 3-1 Carling Cup losers at Manchester United tonight, are the favourites to clinch the final Champions League qualification spot at [2.08]. Liverpool and Spurs can be backed at [3.3] and [4.6] to finish fourth."
Arsenal's draw at Aston Villa hands initiative to London rivals as Wenger's title hopes take a blow
Chelsea have shortened to [1.72] for Premier League glory after a 3-0 home win over Birmingham tonight. Arsenal's inability to beat Aston Villa means the Blues retake the top spot ahead of the weekend's action and leave the Gunners at [5.7] for the title.
Two Frank Lampard goals and an opener from Florent Malouda were enough to take the Blues past the 50 point mark having played a game less than both Manchester United and Arsenal.

In the night's other matches Everton had little trouble getting past Sunderland, who were beaten 2-0 at Goodison Park while Blackburn eased any lingering relegation fears with a 2-1 win over Wigan.
