"United are top of the table tonight, two points ahead of Arsenal [4.7] and Chelsea [1.98], who have one and two games in hand respectively."
Red hot Rooney scores three late goals to send United top and reward one score backer...
Manchester United are top of the Premier League after Wayne Rooney scored every goal in a 4-0 win over Hull City at Old Trafford.
Rooney had given United a 1-0 lead early in the first half but Hull battled and contained the home side for much of the game. Phil Brown's men worked hard to carve out chances of their own before Rooney blasted three goals in eight minutes at the end of the game.
The England striker is in devastating form and now has 20 goals this season. He can be backed at [1.87] to be the Premier League's top goalscorer.
That seems a decent bet but what about his clubs chances of winning at fourth successive title? United are top of the table tonight, two points ahead of Arsenal [4.7] and Chelsea [1.98], who have one and two games in hand respectively.
Some big prices came in on the back of Rooney's four goals this afternoon too, with one punter getting a pound on Any Unquoted in the correct score market at [190.00]. Over 3.5 goals touched [55.0] while the hat-trick was backed at [15.0].
