Saturday Horse Racing Tips and Insight
Four-year-old filly Adrestia could bounce back to form following a disappointing effort worth forgiving at Redcar when last seen. She may have needed her opening run of the season at Windsor, and, from a mark of 96, could be dangerous in the hands of Colin Keane in this 5f handicap sprint.
The daughter of Havana Grey has enjoyed two successful campaigns so far during her career, winning twice during her debut season before landing the Palace Of Holyrood Stakes from a mark of 89 at Royal Ascot last year. Since her latest win, she has been only narrowly denied in a 20-runner Goodwood handicap from a 1lb higher mark of 97 and finished second to Shagraan in Listed company at Beverley following a fourth-placed effort to Rumstar in a Sandown Group Three.
A talented performer on her day, it could be worth keeping the faith in the Simon and Ed Crisford-trained contender, who represents an in-form yard and appears on a workable rating with excuses to be made for her previous appearances this term.

Song N Dance performed with great credit at Ascot last time and could record a deserved win in this handicap.
Her Ascot conqueror, Radiant Beauty, proceeded to win a Listed event at Pontefract next time out and the third-home that day, Alobayyah, lifted a well-contested Royal Ascot handicap on her next start.
Even seventh-home Jannas Journey has won since to endorse the form and the drop to seven furlongs for Song N Dance may be no bad thing either for a filly that invariably travels strongly in her races.
Sitting on the pace can be a positive on the July Course, especially with the ground riding quick, and trainer Sean Woods is also enjoying a good time of it of late with a series of winners in the past fortnight.

In this Group Two mile contest, Holloway Boy appears overpriced and could represent some each-way value under the in-form Callum Rodriguez. He has course form at Ascot and has often been seen running consistently well under hefty weights in big-field competitive handicaps.
Over the past couple of years the Karl Burke-trained contender has shown his capabilities at Stakes level with a Group Three and Listed success accompanied by placed efforts in Group One and Group Two company. He can often defy the odds and will be suited by the trip in quicker conditions, capable of putting in a big effort.

Racing is in anything but a state of torpor this weekend with a breathless run of races, and for the Saturday multiple two handicappers get the nod.
Mr Swivell has been on my radar for a while as he's been going off like the clappers of late, and while nicely treated, I fear the going might be a little too lively.
The Lost King has gone through some tough assignments of late and considering he scored in the Lincoln Trial quite impressively in March from 92, since he has been a big disappointment.
Third at Newcastle subsequently, he switched to the turf at Newmarket at the Craven meeting in a complete mess of a race as the field split into three. The Lost King was in one of the groups and ended up trying to snaffle a place over to the far side.
Those Rowley Mile handicaps are interlarded with trouble.
Forget his run last time at Royal Ascot as he was over the far side and far side runners at the Royal Meeting might as well have had an anvil attached to them as they had no chance.
He's up in trip and back to a more suitable mile and at 8/19.00 he is quite lightly-raced on the turf this season.

On what could be a good day for the Roger Varian yard, I'm siding with his Wechaad to win this 1m handicap in the hands of Ryan Moore.
The son of Oasis Dream was off the mark at the fourth attempt as a juvenile when winning a nursery at Doncaster and then stepped up on that form to finish third in the Group 3 Horris Hill on his final two-year-old start.
Making his comeback from a mark of 96 at Goodwood in May, the selection wasn't seen to best effect in fourth there but showed himself to still be well handicapped when finishing a fine seventh in the ultra-competitive Britannia Stakes at Royal Ascot last time.
There are good races to be won with this one and hopefully he gets off the mark for the season here.

Jim Goldie's American Affair has had his share of problems since winning last season's King Charles III Stakes at Royal Ascot but he shaped as if retaining a good chunk of his ability on his second start back from an injury-enforced layoff when second in the Temple Stakes at Haydock two starts ago.
Connections will have been buoyed by that and would presumably have expected him to make a bold bid to retain his Ascot crown last time, but he simply refused to settle and failed to give his running that day.
I think he's worth giving a pass for that and, in the hope he drops his head better this time, I'm happy to give him another chance as he takes a marked drop in grade to listed company.
Stall 15 may not be ideal, but American Affair is proven on the course and should give a bold showing if back to his best, while four places on the Sportsbook makes him an attractive each-way proposition.

Five-year-old gelding Two Tribes put in a decent effort in the Wokingham Stakes when last seen, beaten five-lengths by Double Rush at odds of 33/134.00 when racing on the far-side of the track, but he's capable of better and landed successive big field handicaps at Ascot and Goodwood respectively last summer.
Now only 1lb higher than his latest win of a 14-runner Meydan handicap in January, having finished second in Listed company since, the Richard Spencer-trained contender could return to form under Oisin Murphy and is one to note each-way.
The son of Rajasinghe has plenty of valuable experience in tough handicaps and is on a mark from which he can be competitive.

Raammee has gone largely under the radar for this race, albeit his odds have continued to contract from a double figure quote a week ago.
We have yet to see Roger Varian's progressive son of Persian King over today's trip, but the manner of his performance behind the upwardly mobile Beagle Bay at Sandown last time suggested ten furlongs was both within his remit and should induce further improvement.
The hood appeared to have the desired effect at Sandown in that the selection settled a little better and he could emmulate the efforts of Enfjaar who won this prestigious handicap two years ago for the Newmarket handler.

We're relying on Royal Ascot form, but Wokingham form to trump the others and Double Rush with that Timeform 'p' is the most interesting for me and at 10/111.00 looks well worth exploring as the each-way bet.
It looks a little too obvious to stick with the Jubilee form and the one-two, but I want to give Division a chance with a more positive ride as through the first furlong in the Commonwealth Cup he was virtually stone last.
I am playing him with the draw in one, which opens up the stands' side route.
1) Double Rush
2) Division
3) Almeraq
