Today's Racing Tips: Mark Milligan's three best bets for Tuesday's action

Despite this sprint handicap attracting only six runners, several of them come into in good form, so I'm hoping that the market will somewhat overlook my selection Jojo Rabbit.

Ruth Carr's eight-year-old can usually be relied upon to win a race or two each season in the correct grade and he was off the mark for the year at Pontefract in April from a mark of 63.

He also ran well back there and at Beverley from higher marks in May before appearing to go off the boil a little on his next couple of starts.

However, the selection looked right back in form when returned to Beverley on the back of a 42-day break last month, finishing fourth but having a nightmare passage and he would definitely have been involved in the finish with more luck.

His last run (also at Beverley) can be safely ignored given he had a poor draw and Jojo Rabbit now finds himself rather generously treated by the handicapper having been eased to a pound below his last winning mark.

There are plenty of exposed sorts in this closing 1m 2f handicap and Hove Ranger looks sure to be popular as he comes into the contest on the back of a recent C&D success. He quickened up nicely to win with a bit in hand that day and has 7lb claimer Toby Moore on board which will help as he bids to defy a penalty and follow up.

However, I prefer the claims of handicap debutante Thunder Goddess, who is bred to do better with time and distance and could really take off now she's had the obligatory three qualifying runs.

Andrew Balding's daughter of Lightning Spear holds a raft of entries this week and that really piqued my interest when looking at her in this race.

It could well be significant that connections have chosen this race as a starting point for life in handicaps for her and there's a possibility they could be aiming to run up a quick sequence with her given she's bred to be better than an opening mark of just 59.

Stratford, 19:15 - Back Youdecide @ 15/82.88

Veteran recent winner Jack Doyen will be strongly fancied in this 2m 5f handicap chase, but he's not for me and instead I'm going to side with the younger Youdecide.

Ben Pauling's charge has been found wanting for stamina on his last couple of tries at 3m and this drop in trip allied to summer jumping conditions is likely to see him to much better effect.

He is a tad risky given how weakly he's finished on his last few starts, but if those tame efforts were simply because his stamina gave out then there's every reason to expect a better effort this time.

The selection is still unexposed as a chaser and this race represents a marked drop in grade for him. Youdecide will also come into the contest fresher than most having been given a nice break since being pulled up at Wetherby in March.
