Football manager treble lands Betfair punter over £16k

One Betfair customer had major reason to celebrate as they landed a 3,240/1 treble on the third day of the 2024 Cheltenham Festival making more than £16k from just a £5 stake.

In a superb piece of betting, the winning punter backed all three of the horses owned by two ex-Premier League managers Sir Alex Ferguson and Harry Redknapp.

Kicking off the multi, Monmiral went off at 25/126.00 to win the Pertemps Final Handicap Hurdle and duly obliged under a superb ride by Harry Cobden.

Having secured the biggest price of the three in the treble, it was on to the Ryanair Chase where Protektorat for the same connections made it 2/2 in the bet under another strong ride from Harry Skelton at 8/19.00.

The final leg off the multi saw Harry Redknapp's Shakem Up'Arry land the Plate Handicap Chase at 9/110.00, but it was heart in mouth for the owner - and our punter - as he hung badly up the straight.

The Cheltenham Festival yet again delivers another special day for a Betfair punter!
