Monday morning's successful negotiation of Mexico at the Azteca was a performance for the ages and Thomas Tuchel's men travel to Miami full of confidence and momentum.

There is no questioning the squad's fortitude and togetherness at this point while it's a huge plus that England's big-name stars - namely Kane, Bellingham and Rice - have stepped up, consistently being impactful.

A word too on Elliot Anderson, who has made a team-high 42 line-breaking passes and won possession on 29 occasions.

Any temptation though to glance ahead to July 19, and the possibility of an unforgettable summer, should be swiftly stymied because here comes Norway, a team that poses a considerable threat, especially going forward where they have been clinical.

The Røde, Hvite, Blå have scored 12 goals to England's 11, despite taking on 28 fewer attempts. In four of their five games to date they have netted before the break so over 0.5 first-half goals for Norway is a shout at 5/42.25

Haaland the provider

Naturally, Erling Haaland being Erling Haaland accounts for so much of Norway's impressive attacking stats.

With a Golden Boot in his sights, the Striking Viking has scored a goal every 14 touches in the Americas while his decisive hits against Iraq, Senegal, Ivory Coast and Brazil is the highest number of match-winning goals converted at a World Cup in nine editions.

Remarkably, Haaland has scored 19 goals in his last 10 outings for his country.

All of which means there is little value in backing the 25-year-old to extend on his streak, especially if club team-mates John Stones and Marc Guehi do a better job at shackling him than others.

There are much better odds available concerning his build-up play, Haaland accruing two key passes apiece against Senegal and Brazil.

More frustration for England via top keeping

The Three Lions have been unfortunate to encounter several excellent goalkeeping displays to reach this point, with Dominik Livakovic, Orlando Mosquera and Lionel Mpasi pulling off 16 saves combined at England's expense.

Stationed behind a Norwegian defence that typically gifts opportunities (3 big chances per 90 across the tournament) Ørjan Nyland registered four saves apiece against Ivory Coast and Brazil in the knock-outs, including a miraculous stop that could yet be the stand-out of the whole competition.

With England averaging 6.4 shots on target per 90 the veteran could again be kept busy, and again impress.

Back a 3/14.00 goals and corners double

It stands to reason that all five of Norway's fixtures have finished with both teams scoring.

Going forward, they possess trickery, guile and the most lethal finisher in world football. At the back, they can at times be close to shambolic.

Backing BTTS therefore is a great add to any builder.

In this instance, why not pair it up with a high corner-count, with Norway averaging a steady 4.4 per 90 across the Atlantic and England topping that significantly with 6.2.

It would be even higher from Tuchel's men if not for the context of their victory over Mexico.

A 20/121.00 Three Lions Bet Builder

As detailed above, Elliot Anderson's industry has been invaluable and Manchester City's new signing is expected to be heavily involved again, charged with curtailing Martin Odegaard's clever lay-offs.

The midfielder won all five of his tackles vs Mexico.

A headed attempt on target is also fancied, with England posting 22 headed efforts, a tournament high.
Nico O'Reilly has been responsible for five of these, the joint-most of any England player.

Lastly, Jude Bellingham stands out in the shots on target market after registering three apiece against Dr Congo and Mexico.

Between them, Kane and Bellingham have taken on 57.5% of England's SOT tally at the World Cup.
