England v Czechia - How to back Three Lions forwards to strike again
England finally served up a World Cup hangover cure and put themselves back on the front foot on Saturday night when they thumped Croatia 7-0 in Rijeka in the third match of this four game Nations League international break.
They go again for the final time in this run of games on Tuesday and, in recognition of the Three Lions' firepower, we are focusing this Opta stats and bets preview on the front men who will all be going for goal again.
England's front four were all on target on Saturday, with Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka both scoring braces, while Jude Bellingham and Anthony Gordon also found the net. Morgan Rogers came off the bench and struck the seventh three minutes from time.
We can expect all to fancy their chances again on Tuesday when the Czechs, who England beat 2-0 in Prague a week ago, come to Wembley.
Bellingham, Kane, Gordon and Saka to fire at Wembley
England are 1/101.10 to win, so the market is giving Czechia 22/123.00 little chance, with the Draw 8/19.00.
The value, and the fun, lies with finding ways of backing England's forwards to score again. Could we see all four front-line starters strike again at Wembley? Are we in for another goal glut from a Three Lions attack that will show its opponents no mercy?
Here are quick links for each of the quartet to get on the scoresheet:
Back Kane @ 2/5
Back Bellingham @ 6/52.20
Back Gordon @ 11/10
Back Saka @ 13/8
A fourfold on them all scoring again will pay out at just shy of 15/116.00.
Below are three pertinent stats from Opta and related goalscorer, assists and more bets.
Across their last four games in all competitions, England have won 6-4 against France and 7-0 against Croatia. It's the first time they've scored 6+ goals in two different games in a calendar year since 2019, while they last did so in three different games in 1908.
Could they do it again on Tuesday? We think it's worth a wager.
Back Home Team Over 5.5 goals
Harry Kane could equal Peter Shilton as the all-time record appearance maker for the England men's national team in this match (125 caps). Kane has 21 goals in his last 22 appearances for the Three Lions, and has scored three goals in four games against Czechia.
Anthony Gordon has scored in each of his last four appearances for England. The last player other than Harry Kane to score in five in a row for the Three Lions was Wayne Rooney between October 2014 and March 2015.
Back Kane and Gordon to score
As mentioned, Bukayo Saka scored twice for England in Croatia and we reckon the Arsenal man could be primed to get on the scoresheet again at Wembley.
Jude Bellingham, meanwhile, achieved a hat-trick of assists in the 7-0 win, as well as scoring, which underlined his increasing importance to this England team.
Back Saka to score, Bellingham to score, Bellingham to assist
