Sadio Mané backed for Saudi Arabia

Late last night, Betfair took a flurry of bets on Sadio Mané moving to join any of the Saudi Pro League clubs as his odds were slashed from 3/14.00 to the now 8/151.53.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano tweeted (and deleted) that clubs in Saudi were working on the move to bring the Bayern Munich forward to one of their newly-owned four big clubs.

Rumours this morning suggest it is Al Ahli who are the frontrunners for Mane, in a plan to reunite him with former Liverpool teammate Roberto Firmino, who was announced this morning on a three-year-contract.

Sadio Mané has only been at Bayern for a year, though injuries and a reported bust up with Leroy Sane has seen his time in Germany tainted, with Bayern open to letting him leave.

Newcastle are next in the betting at 9/25.50 as they prepare for a huge Champions League campaign, with Chelsea next at 6/17.00.
