Liverpool favourites to sign Mason Mount

Liverpool are odds-on favourites to sign Mason Mount from Chelsea this summer.

He is 4/6 to move to Anfield while Manchester United are 5/1 and Bayern Munich, who have just appointed ex-Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel as their new manager, are 10/1.

Jurgen Klopp is an admirer of Mount and, with the Reds planning a rebuild after this season's problems, the German is making the England man a top target.

Mount has not agreed a new contract at Stamford Bridge and will soon enter the final year of his current deal.

He has been in and out of Graham Potter's starting 11 this season, scoring just three goals in 2022/23.

The midfielder's talented is undoubted, though, and he may be attracted to joining another club where he would be a first choice pick.

Gareth Southgate is a big fan of Mount who will be aiming for a successful season ahead of Euro 2024.

Chelsea spent over £200m on players in the January transfer window and Potter may wish to trim his squad in the summer.
