Barcelona 7/10 favourites to re-sign Messi

Barcelona regained favouritism in the race to sign Lionel Messi this summer after it emerged that his father was meeting club president Joan Laporta to discuss a deal.

The Catalan club, where Messi played from 2004-2021, are 7/101.70 to re-sign the seven-time Ballon d'Or winner.

They had slipped behind Any Saudi Pro League club (that outcome is 11/102.11 in the market but the news of meetings between Messi's representatives and Barcelona have seen them regain favouritism.

LaLiga have reportedly approved Barcelona's proposal to Messi who played his final game for Paris Saint-Germain yesterday.

MLS club Inter Miami are 4/15.00 to sign Messi but the battle for his signature appears to be between Barcelona and Saudi.

If it is the former that gets him then he will be managed by Xavi with whom Messi played in two Champions League winning sides.
