Capital clash to entertain
UCD v Shelbourne
Friday 22 July, 19:45
Nacional did the business for us in style last night in Uruguay, as they smashed Cerrito 5-0, a win that crucially for us included goals in the first half. It's turning into a good week.
We'll head to the Irish capital of Dublin (we've been on some long flights this week), because strugglers UCD are up against Shelbourne in the Irish Premier.
University College Dublin certainly aren't on course for first-class honours. They are bottom of the standings, having won just two of their 23 games so far, and unsurprisingly they have the worst defensive record in the division. UCD have leaked 47 goals at an average of just over two per game. However, they have scored in nine of their last 15 outings at this level.
Shelbourne are seventh in the ten-team division, and have only won eight of their 22 games. Usefully for us, they have managed just three clean sheets across their last 14 matches in the league. They are usually good for a goal, having netted in 11 of the last 15. Both teams have scored in ten of their last 18.
I think there's enough evidence to back a BTTS bet here, and it's a juicy price at 2.265/4.
