Strasbourg v Rennes
Sunday 31 March, 16:05
A brutal blow for us last night, as we got the BTTS and the corners from Lyon's 1-1 draw with Reims, but pesky Alexandre Lacazette didn't manage to get either of his two goal attempts on target for us. It's been that kind of week, but we hope to finish with a flourish as we stay in France for one more selection. Strasbourg are up against Rennes, and I'm on the hunt for goals and corners.
Whether fans like it or not, Strasbourg have ended up as bedfellows with Chelsea, and neither team seems to be having much fun at the moment. While the Blues splutter in the middle of the Premier League standings, Patrick Vieira's Strasbourg are just four points above the dropzone in the French top flight, having managed just seven wins in 26 league games.
Rennes are having a much more uplifting campaign, but there is still work to do. Julien Stephan has led his team into the semi-finals of the Coupe de France (they'll face PSG in a few days), and in Ligue 1 they could still snatch a European berth. Les Rouge et Noirs have won seven of their last ten games in Ligue 1.
I think we can successfully use the Bet Builder to combine BTTS and Over 6.5 Corners here at 1.9420/21. Seven of the last ten league games for Rennes have seen both teams find the net, and that's true of 13 of Strasbourg's last 15 top-flight outings.
