'Proper' football is back on Friday following the international break with La Liga quickly getting back in the swing of things.
You may have noted Rayo Vallecano's recent 7-0 home defeat to Atletico Madrid and, given that, you may not be surprised to learn that the Madrid-based side have conceded more shots in the first four games of the season than any other.
With Alaves in the top half of the 'shots taken' standings, there's an immediate angle in backing the visitors for shots.
Two players stand out.
First up, Luis Rioja has had nine shots in four games thus far, posting tallies of 3-3-2-1.
These have all come from a new position of the left-hand side of the attack, usually playing as part of a three-man team behind the lone striker.
He's 5/4 for 2+ shots against a defence which has clearly had problems cutting them out and that looks good.
Captain Ruben Duarte is also worth backing for 1+ shot at 5/6.
The left-back has shown a real penchant for shooting from distance so far this season, while he's also among Alaves' free-kick takers.
Duarte managed three shots in the recent win over Sevilla, while he hit one on the opening day at Cadiz.
Again considering Rayo's defensive record when it comes to shots, they may well let him run into a shooting position here and the 27-year-old won't require a second invitation. One blocked effort or one high and wide would do just fine.
The Bet Builder double pays 16/54.20.
